In part 1, I showed the creation story in Chinese hieroglyphics with references to Adam and Eve, the garden of Eden and the fall of man through being tempted by Satan to eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil

In part 2, I’ll be exploring a little more in Genesis. There are stories about a worldwide flood in many ancient civilisations, confirming the story of Noah in the Bible

Due to the corruption of men on Earth in the time of Noah, the Lord was grieved and resolved to destroy all life on Earth

And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die

Genesis 6:17

Here’s my favourite Chinese hieroglyph. ‘Boat’ is made up of ‘vessel/boat’, ‘eight’ and ‘people’. Those 8 people in the ark were Noah, his 3 sons and their wives

And Noah went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons’ wives with him, into the ark, because of the waters of the flood

Genesis 7:7

After the flood abated, Noah sent a dove to check for dry ground

And the dove came in to him in the evening; and, lo, in her mouth was an olive leaf plucked off: so Noah knew that the waters were abated from off the earth

Genesis 8:11

After the Flood, God made a covenant with Noah and his descendants, handing down the promise that he would never bring forth such destruction again. Noah would therefore become the second father of the human race as we would all be descended from him

And I will establish my covenant with you, neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth

Genesis 9:11

Finally, God established a sign to seal this covenant, the rainbow

13 I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth. 14 And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud: 15 And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh

Genesis 9:13-15

I shall conclude in part 3 with a final look at some last hieroglyphics
