Resurrection is the Father’s amen to Jesus saying ‘It is finished’

Resurrection is the Father’s Amen to our Lord Jesus saying ‘It is finished’ on the cross of Calvary

As Christians, it is wonderful that our Lord’s mighty resurrection on that first Easter Sunday means that we have confirmation that the price for our sin debt has been paid in full and we can rest fully in the blessed assurance that we are now born again with our Lord and will see Him face to face in heaven one day. In the church age, we are able to lean on the finished work of Christ on the Cross

Colossians 2:12 tells us that we were buried with Christ and also raised with Him

‘Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead’

Colossians 2:12

We can therefore truly say with confidence

‘O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?’

1 Cor 15:55

All it takes is to believe in the Easter miracle

‘That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved’

Rom 10:9
